Tara Brady walks away from Southend United

11:53am Thursday 2nd February 2012

SHRIMPERS: TARA Brady says he is devastated to have quit as Southend United’s chief executive.

Brady has opted to leave his role at Roots Hall.

But he admitted it was a tough decision to make.

“I’m devastated to have left the football club,” said Brady.

“As already stated, the plan was to get this club two successive promotions and until a couple of weeks ago I felt we were on target.

“It’s a shame as a lot of hard work went in to turning things around but I don’t wish to comment further.”

Brady spent 13 months with the Shrimpers and helped the club improve both on and off the pitch during his spell in south east Essex.
