Theatre's feast of food and chat with Hardeep

A CHAT show with culinary leanings is coming to the Thameside Theatre in Grays.
The UK tour of Hardeep Singh Kohli’s Chat Masala rolls into the theatre, in Orsett Road, on Thursday, March 22, at 7.45pm.
Hardeep is a TV presenter and chef, who regularly appeared as a reporter on the BBC’s The One Show.
Audiences will enjoy an evening of chat as Hardeep interviews guests and cooks up a curry, which the audience can then sample at the end.
A spokesman for the theatre said: “Hardeep combines his first true loves of cooking and chatting in his own unique, articulate and utterly charming way.”
Hardeep was runner-up on the first series of Celebrity Masterchef.
His first book, Indian Takeaway, was nominated for an Independent Book Award and he has written about food for Olive, Observer Food Monthly, the Spectator, the Times, the Sunday Times and various other publications. He is also a columnist for Waitrose Food Illustrated. He has appeared on the BBCs Question Time and This Week with Andrew Neil.
He wrote and presented the Bafta Award winning In Search of the Tartan Turban for Channel 4 and the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Hardeep Does.
He started his broadcasting career in radio and still presents shows on Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live.
He has also made many documentaries for Radio 2, 3 and 4.
Tickets for the show are £15, reduced to £13 for concessions.
Audience members must be aged 14 or over.
