Teachers' fact-finding trip to India

TEACHERS from Thurrock travelled half way around the world to immerse themselves in Indian culture.
Four teachers from schools across the borough flew out to Bhopal to meet teachers from partner schools to forge closer links as well as plan joint projects to work on as part of the British Council Connecting Classrooms programme.
Rhys Latham, assistant headteacher of Dilkes Primary School and co-ordinator of the Thurrock Cluster, said: “By working together we can open pupils’ eyes to life in other countries and show them we all share many hopes and aims.”
